Dream #74

On the 9th May 2022, I stood on the top of Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world with 8848 meters. It was the fulfil of an old dream and also an opportunity to continue fundraising for our dear project Dreams of Kathmandu. To reach the top of the world I trained very hard during many months, and I made many previous expeditions to other mountains in the Himalayas such as Ama Dablam, Mera Peak and Island Peak. But I could have never conquered Everest without the help and support of my dear guide and friend Mingma Tendi Sherpa.

Mingma is a very experienced climber and he was born close to Mount Everest in the Khumbu Valley. Together we did an amazing team and partnership. It was a real pleasure and privilege to work with him.

After descending from the mountain our friendship remained and I proposed to help his family with the education of his 3 year old son Urben Sherpa. So, for this year we are going to give him a scholarship of 400€ to support his kindergarten expenses. In the future we hope to be able to continue to support Urben and see him grow with the best possible education.
