Activity Report Year #8
Activity Report Year #8
On the 17th
October 2025, our dear project Dreams of Kathmandu celebrated its 8th
anniversary. It’s a huge landmark for us, which could only be achieved with the
help of everyone involved. So far, we have made 101 dreams come true, thank you
so much!!
Our
methodology, during these eight years, remains the same: we identify a need, we
fundraise for it, and then we make a report to our donors including invoices
and pictures. Always with the purpose of leaving a positive impact in the
population of Nepal, in projects that we know like the palm of our hand.
Since Day
1, our values haven’t changed: transparency, courage, integrity and respect for
the local culture. This is what drives our conduct. Besides that, our policy
regarding the utilization of funds also hasn’t changed: 100% of the donations
are applied on the projects. This is not negotiable! Our private expenses of
food, transport and accommodation, especially when we travel to Nepal, are
always supported by us.
On year 8 we have accomplished a total of eleven dreams, we have spent 15.260 €, and we estimate to have impact a total of 191 people. A remarkable aspect is that, in total, we have reached the amazing number of 100 dreams! We are really proud of these achievements, most of which couldn´t have been achieved without the precious help of our donors.
This year,
we want to send a special message of THANK YOU to all of those who donated to
the project 50 Marathons in 50 days, and also to Cristiana Rodrigues, Tiago
Bilbao, Pilar Bilbao, the company NOSSA, Fundação Vox Populi, Vitor Pereira from
REMAX, Mateus Nabais, João Hipólito Raposo, Luis Ferreira, Andreia Nogueira,
Maria Lucas, Luís Almeida, Teresa Costa Lemos, Lídia Branco, Laura Xavier,
Isabel Vitória, Graça Sancho, Marylene, Sofia Seno, Carla Beirão, Silvia
Pontes, Samuel, and also all of those who acquired books! Thank you, thank you,
thank you!
In terms of the scope of our action, we continue to support the children of Sharadas Shelter, the old inhabitants of Camp Hope, the families of Bistagaon, and Rainbow Volunteer Club. Basically, they are the same people we have been supporting in the last 8 years. This sense of continuation is important, because it means that we are building strong foundations in the lives of this people. We also keep the local partnership with the Dwarikas Foundation, mainly with its president Sangita Shreshta and her son Vijay Einhaus, who always helps with local logistics and project implementation.
We enter year 9 with many challenges. On one hand, we need to find, once again, sources of fundraising in order to continue helping. On the other hand, we need to be very strict and demanding towards the choices we make when it comes to implement the funds. We require excellence, commitment and dedication to all of those we are helping. This is the only way to keep this project sustainable in the long term: with responsibility from everyone involved!
See you all next year!
Pedro and Ghazal
