Dream #108

 Dream #108

This is a true story. Any resemblance to fiction is purely coincidental.

This is the story of a boy who dreamed of running 100 marathons to build a school in Nepal.

The marathons were run there, and now there's a place to build the project: the village of Nilkhanta, in central Nepal. On June 28, I was there in the company of Rainbow Volunteer Club, and we were greeted by 120 children who, despite having nothing, smile as if they have everything. They are contagiously humble and inspiring.

Upon arriving at the village, We didn't come empty-handed. I brought them the promise of a new school, food, school supplies, personal hygiene items, and also… 120 Portugal jerseys with Cristiano Ronaldo's name on the back!!

It was all so magical… it's for days like these that it's worth living and continuing to help! Thank you to all the donors who made this happen, we are in this together!!

The total amount spent in this visit to Nilkhanta was 1962,12€. This money was collected on social media in the days before the visit. It came mainly from donators in Portugal. The main expenses of this visit were the transport, food, school material, clothes, sports equipment and personal hygiene items. All of the supplies were bought and distributed directly by us on the spot.
