Dream #97

Dream #97

Samir Bista is one of the biggest references in the project Dreams of Katmandu.

When I met him at the time of the earthquake in 2015, he was one of the children in the most vulnerable situation. He lived in an aluminum tent, his English was poor, and the other boys made fun of him. School results did not suggest a bright future.

It was then that we got down to work and a miracle happened.

First we build a new house for his family in 2021. A structure worth almost €10,000 that was only possible to build, thanks to the fundraising carried out during the time I climbed the mountain Ama Dablam, located in the Himalayas.

For the last seven years, we have been responsible for his education. Today Samir Bista is in the 12th grade and his development is astonishing! His school results improved a lot, and he even started teaching other disadvantaged kids at a school near his village!

I am extremely proud of his trajectory, and we are already making plans for the future.

Samir is about to complete 12th grade, and we will continue to support him as he makes the leap to university. Two years ago we offered him a notebook and now he dreams of taking a course in IT.

A big thank you to Filipe Videira, who has supported this cause for nine years, and will once again fund Samir's studies, this year a total amount of €500.

This is legacy. This is development. Thank you all!
