Dream #101

Dream #101

Saraswoti Sherpa was four years old when she lived in Camp Hope. She and her family lost their house in the earthquake of 2015, and that’s why was they lived in the camp for almost two years.

I remember how she spent her days playing among the tents and running around with the volunteers. She was full of live and energy. And even though she was so young, we became very close ever since. Her parents, Omo Lama and Sang Jambu Sherpa are also our very good friends.

Today, Camp Hope no longer exists.

But the children that used to live in Camp are still going through very difficult times.  Clinging to the words and promises we made to them.

In Dreams of Kathmandu, we want to keep these promises and Saraswoti Sherpa will be no exception. Now she is 13 years old and she is in seventh grade. Also she is the top student in her class! We are so proud!

She dreams of being a nurse and we will always be by her side.

For the 2024/2025 academic year, her scholarship will be €350, financed by our dear friend Cristiana Rodrigues, who has been with us since the very beginning.

Thank you Cristiana and everyone who believes and supports our project!
