Dream #100
So, what will be our dream 100? Which occasion are we gonna to celebrate this special moment?
Right after the earthquake, Pilar Bilbao, a Portuguese 4 year old girl, broke her piggy bank and donated all her savings to help the victims of the tragedy! I still remember that this was so inspiring to me! And what's more important is that since then we created a bound that lasts until today.
Now she is 13 years old, but she is still involved with our projects in Nepal! Every year, I speak with her father, Tiago Bilbao, and together we organize a fundraising initiative to help someone in need.
Last December, she collected 900€ in donations, and together with our friends from Rainbow Volunteer Club, we distributed 54 backpacks full of school supplies to children in need! Check out the photos and drawings they made, I'm so proud to watch all of this!
These children belong to the Rohingya Refugee Community that currently lives in Kathmandu. Their life conditions are very poor. They barely have clean water or food. But at least now, they have a new school bag full of brand new materials! Thank you so much Pilar for giving a comfort to these kids.
In a world that is becoming more extreme, I believe this is still the away to make a difference. By knowing the projects in detail and having the courage to make a difference. We can all be the change that we want to see in the world. The power of change lives within each of us.
