Dream #68
Dream #68
The 3
children in these photos are called Mingmar Sherpa, Tenzing Sherpa and Pema
Sherpa. Many of you already know them from previous dreams.
These children
have been our friends for 7 years now!! Time is flying!! We know them since the
days of Camp Hope in Kathmandu. From the times they lost their homes in the
earthquake of April 2015.
And once
again in the Project Dreams of Kathmandu, we are going to support their
education!
All the
three of them are excellent students and in the case of the older ones, Mingmar
and Pema, we are working together with the Dwarikas Foundation to arrange
professional internships and think about their future university studies. We
want to be with them all the way.
Each
scholarship for this academic year 2021/2022 is worth 75,000 rupees, (or 560€),
to attend Mount Kalaish school in Kathmandu. A total value of €1680 for the
three children.
And do you
know who is funding this amount? These are your Project X Stage 1 donations
when I was in Kenya in April last year (see link Project X - Stage 1
(dreamsofkathmandu.blogspot.com)!! It is a great joy and pride to be able to report the use of these
funds and use them where they are really needed: in the education of promising
children.
Thanks to
all who support Project X and Dreams of Kathmandu, for any further information or
if you want to get involved please contact us in pedro_queiros@hotmail.com or ghazalvaziri@gmail.com.
