ACTIVITY REPORT YEAR #4

 ACTIVITY REPORT YEAR #4

Congratulations Dreams of Kathmandu!

In our fourth year of activity in Nepal, we made 20 dreams come true and invested the sum of €16,193. The origin and application of funds is described in the table below.

Remember that ALL funds we receive, are 100% invested in the projects we support. This is not negotiable.

These are projects that we know in detail and we are the ones who make all the payments directly ot through the local partners we trust. Transparency, courage and reporting are always our main principles.

In terms of areas of activity, we remain focused on education, housing, health and nutrition. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year the burden of food expenses or clothing distribution has increased. Basic needs are lacking in Nepal, and we decided to increase the support in this area.

In terms of projects, the highlight goes to the birth of Project X, which aims to raise funds for the Dreams of Kathmandu cause through solidarity adventures such as running marathons or climbing mountains.

We also started working with a new local partner in Kathmandu, the Rainbow Volunteer Club, and co-founded the #NoHunger program, where we provided thousands of meals to the neediest.

Our main partners continue to be the Dwarikas Foundation (Db Basnet and Sangita Shreshta), Operation Nepali Child (Edward Turner), Fundação Vox Populi (Luis and Paula Queirós), Bak on Bike (Pedro Bento), and other individual people that are like angels to our project and support us no matter what. This year I would like to underline the work of Parmashor Mahat, Phurpa Sherpa, Madan Pudeyal, Bruno Leite, João Hipólito Raposo, António Ferrador e familia, Sérgio Queirós e familia, Ana Sá, Gonçalo Cruz, Luis Pedro Ferreira, Andreia da Costa Nogueira, Pilar Bilbao, Tiago Bilbao, Isabel Vitória, Laura Xavier and Margarida Lima.

In the rest of the projects, we have kept our focus in helping the former families of Camp Hope, the village of Bistagaon located in the south of Kathmandu, and the children of the Sharadas orphanage. Hundreds of people and children in total! We'd like to get involved in more projects, but for now we don't want to take steps bigger than our legs. One thing at the time.

You can always consult all the information in the previous posts of our blog or contact us directly through a private message. Get involved, we still have many unfulfilled dreams in Nepal!
