Dream #27
Dream #27
Laura Xavier is one of the biggest supporters of Dreams of Kathmandu. Basically she is always there for us and for the children of Nepal. Thank you so much Laura, it’s because of
people like you that we have the strength to continue and we keep our efforts for the little ones.
Laura lives in a beautiful Portuguese city called Beja and she works as a physiotherapist in CDP (Centro de Diagnóstico Pneumológico). You can see her and some of her colegues in the picture below. She is the lady in a dark blue jacket, third from the left. Here you can also find two pictures of the place where they work.
This time, Laura and her friends from work, decided to collect coins in a jar and donate to Dreams of Kathmandu. For several months they would put all
the small coins and they managed to raise 154€!! WOW, this is just incredible!!
And also, we still had 170€ from some sales of cakes they baked last year! This group of people are amazing! They are just unstoppable when it comes to help! Thank you so much team from CDP!!
So, in total we had 154€ + 170 € = 324.
I spoke to Laura, and together we decided to give a Christmas gift to the 15 children of Sharadas Shelter Center in Kathmandu. They were in need of several basic stuff like hygiene items, stationery or clothes. So, with 324€, we did a small miracle!
Check the invoice above and the pictures below. This is what we did with 324€, approximately 40.000 Nepalese Rupees. We made a difference in the daily life of those in need. We are so happy that we can provide this help, especially in Christmas time and winter, when children have more dreams and hope but they are also more fragile… Thank you so much Laura Xavier and your team, all of this is only possible because you decided to help!
If you also want to get involved with Dreams of Kathmandu, get in contact with us at pedro_queiros@hotmail.com or ghazalvaziri@gmail.com. Together we can make things happen! Thank you so much everyone and Merry Christmas from us, Pedro and Ghazal, and the children of Nepal as well!
