Dream #82

Every year Mingma Tendi Sherpa risks his life in the mountains. He grew up in the shadow of the Himalayas and his job is to guide climbers to the highest peaks in the world.

It's what he knows how to do best.

It was together with Mingma Sherpa that I reached the top of Everest last year in May 2022. Without him I would never have achieved it. His preparation and level of awareness were crucial in difficult moments. I went through extreme difficulties, many of which I still cannot talk about today.

Like last year, I agreed with Mingma Sherpa to try to give him some kind of help, in this case with the education of his son, three-year-old Urgen Nurpu Sherpa. Income from mountaineering is scarce and this represents a huge help for his family.

Mingma is always afraid that something will happen to him up there.

In total, the support given by the Dreams of Kathmandu for this dream will be €285, or 40,000 Nepalese rupees. Many thanks to the donors who contributed:
