Parmeshor Mahat is one of our best friends in Nepal. We met him after the earthquake in April 2015 and we have never lost contact since. Parmeshor and his family live in the south of Kathmandu in a village called Bistagaon. After the earthquake, their house was destroyed and at the time we were also involved in rebuilding it.

Many years have passed but our relationship remains strong. Every time we need help in our Dreams of Kathmandu projects, Parmeshor is always there to support us. For example, in Dream 73, when we helped to build the house of Samir Bista and his family, Parmeshor was involved since the first day in everything from buying the materials or getting the necessary permits. And he never got any payment for that!

Lately Parmeshor was in need of a motorbike to attend his job in a sales office in Kathmandu. So, we decided to help him with 1500 € that were provided by Fundação Vox Populi in Portugal. It’s the least we could do after all the help he has been giving us in the last years. Sometimes this is the best way to help. Not with food or a house but with transport. Kathmandu is one of the most chaotic cities in the world in terms of traffic and this motorbike will be a blessing for the life of Parmeshor.
