Dream #50

Dream 50 had to be a special dream. A future-oriented dream with a great impact on the lives of children in Nepal.

So, it is with great pride that we announce a new partnership of our cause Dreams of Kathmandu with the Rainbow Volunteer Club project in Nepal. This partnership was established through the organization's director, Mr. Madan Poudel, an old friend of ours in Nepal. Follow their work on Facebook or Instagram, it is just inspiring.

This association has a school centre in Kathmandu, where about 60 children from deprived families take classes daily, do their homework and learn other hobbies such as sports and arts.

Recently they are also launching workshops on gender equality and other topics related to feminine hygiene or family planning - The BLING project. Nepal has a lot of prejudice in these areas, and it is necessary to change mentalities. Because education is not just about learning math or English. For this reason as well, it is with great pride that we associate our project Dreams of Kathmandu with this cause.

And our first Dream with the Rainbow Volunteer Club, we will donate funds to pay a permanent teacher for 12 months for the 60 children! Bravo!

All of this is only possible thanks to the donation of € 1165 provided by Bruno Leite and the Gera Educação project in Portugal. Between March 15th and 19th, they organized a training session with 5 speakers and dozens of participants. It was all of them together who raised this money. We have no words for this generosity. Thank you very much Bruno and Projeto Gera Educação.
