Dream #47
Dream #47
EVERY week, Samir Bista calls me via Messenger, and asks me: "Brother Pedro, when are you coming to Nepal?", "Brother Pedro, will you help us build our new house in the future?". He always has a lot of questions, but I guess that is typical in a sensitive and intelligent boy as Samir Bista is.
We met him 6 years ago, right after the Nepal earthquake in 2015. He was 9 years old back then. In the beginning, whenever he saw us, he would run out on the road, and he would cling to our legs like a gecko. And there he was hugging us, even when we needed to walk. We understood immediately that he was a special boy.
And we are so proud that we have been able to help in his education for the last 3 years. Through the project Dreams of Kathmandu, it has been possible to pay a scholarship to Samir, including school uniform, tuition fees and transportation to school. And we have also supplied some winter clothes and sneakers to play football.
And soon, we will also
launch a fundraising for everyone to help build a new house for him and his family. We
really want to help Samir. He represents the perfect example why we are helping
Nepal: he has a lot of potential, but he has no means…
Filipe Videira, our Portuguese friend, has been
responsible for supporting Samir for the last two years and this year his
contribution for Samir’s scholarship was 330 €. Thank you, a thousand
times Filipe, you are one of the angels of our project since the first day. And
if there is someone who deserves this support, it is Samir.
Get involved and support
our projects in Dreams of Kathmandu! You just have to send us a message to pedro_queiros@hotmail.com or ghazalvaziri@gmail.com. Thank you so
much!
