Dream #40
Dream #40
The winters in Nepal can be really cold! The winds that come from the Himalayas, the highest mountains in the world, run all over the country and the nights can be really chilly!! We know what we are talking about because many nights we slept in a tent or a bambu house in Nepal, and we can tell you that the cold hits you right in the bones!! You can't even put a thought together and all your body must be under a blanket! This is how cold it gets!
So, when Milan Pariyar, the main responsible from Sharadas Shelter, aproached us and said that the 14 children needed new bed sheets, blankets, duvets and pillows for their beds, we didn't hesitate for one second in getting involved and help! Cold is a very sensitive issue for us in Dreams of Kathmandu. No children should be cold when they are sleeping. Life is already difficult for them during the day, so at least at night they should be confortable and dream without limits!
In total this Dream had a budget of 190€, and so we used the contribution made last month by Laura Xavier and her collegues of work in Beja, Portugal. For months, they collected litlle black coins in a jar and the end they got the exact sum of 190,10€!! This is unbelievable, what a small gesture by many people can do!!
Here you can see pictures about this Dream and even the jar full of coins! We are so happy to see this, thank you Laura and thank you everyone that donated!
If you wanna get involved in our projects contact us in pedro_queiros@hotmail.com or ghazalvaziri@gmail.com. We need all the help we can get to make more dreams come true to the children of Nepal!
With love, Pedro & Ghazal.
