We are very proud to announce that we have started using the funds that we collected last December in the initiative Giving Tuesday. That fundraising was a huge success and we got a total of 2395€ to support our projects in Dreams of Kathmandu.
Winter in Nepal and Kathmandu is hard. Despite the fact that the sun comes out during the day, at night the temperatures can reach zero degrees. It's the influence of the cold winds coming from the Himalayas in the north, the highest mountains in the world.
And let's not forget that the buildings in Kathmandu are not very strong or efficient in terms of heating. Most of the houses are made of bambu, mud or simple bricks without any type of isolating material or extra protection.
This is why, during the winter, one of our main concerns is to supply warm clothes to the children in need. So, we decided to donate 300€ to the 15 children of Sharadas Shelter Center, one of our most dear projects.
Look at the picture below with all the children in their new warm clothes. This is what we call making a real difference. And once again we are proud to show all the invoices and necessary papers to show the destiny of the funds. Transparency is one of our most important values and we apply 100% of the donations in the Dreams we support. This is not negotiable! Wanna get involved?
