Dream #26
Dream #26
Simran Sharma is one of our best friends in Nepal. She was one of the 100 children that we, Pedro and Ghazal, met in Camp Hope in Kathmandu in 2015, right after the big earthquake.
At that time, she was 12 years old but she was already special. Bright eyes, curious mind, brilliant student, good friend and excellent daughter.
Back then she was only a child, but she already knew very well what she wanted.
While most of the kids mentioned they wanted to be football players (the boys), and Miss Nepal (the girls), Simran wanted to work in the medical sector. She was so cute when she said this, but one could also feel she was very serious about it.
4 years have passed and Simran is now 16.
Her brightness has only increased, and at Dreams of Kathmandu, we want to be part of her future. We want to tell Simran that it's ok to dream and if she studies and if she is serious about her future, we are gonna do everything within our hands to give her the best possible education!
Trinity College of Kathmandu is one of the best schools in town. But also very expansive. For 11th grade tuition the cost is 1500€. But we don't look at it as a cost, this is an investment and we are so happy to contribute with this fund now and in the future.
Go Simran, we believe in you!
Once again we have the support of Fundação Vox Populi. A portuguese foundation that is focused in education and has been supporting us in several dreams, including this one! Thank you so much. Please check their work at www.fvp.pt.
Simran has also sent us most of the invoices for her tuition. Besides this expense we are also financing transport and school material. A full scholarship.
What about you? Wanna be part of Dreams of Kathmandu and make the difference in the life of a Nepali child? Contact us in pedro_queiros@hotmail.com and ghazalvaziri@gmail.com, there is still a lot to be done. Remember that 100% of the donations are applied directly in the needs of the people who need it, this is not negotiable!
