Our aunt Fátima Queirós has a very big heart and it is full of generosity. In the last 4 years, since we are helping Nepal, by the time of Christmas or in our birthdays, she always gives us an envelope with a donation for our projects. Last May, when I went to Lisbon, she gave us 100€ to help our children and asked us to make the best out of this money.
You might think 100€ is not a lot. But in a country like Nepal it can make miracles!
Four weeks ago I was approached by Tej, the responsible of Thaiba Orphanage, one of the projects that we have been helping for 2 years now, and he told us they needed 7 new backpacks for the 7 children of the orphanage.
So I told him that we want to get involved with the 100€ that aunt Fátima gave us.
The total cost of this action was 87,5€, around 12,5€ per backpack. The rest of the money we gave it for groceries.
Again we are happy to put our hands on and help. You might think it's a "small" dream. But the truth is that now there are 7 children in Nepal with new backpacks. Just because we made a move and made things happened.
