At Dream #15 we asked help to fix some cavities and other teeth problems of the kids of Thaiba Shelter in Kathmandu.

The budget for this operation was 150€. The 7 kids of Thaiba shelter had a total of 16 cavities and 1 teeth needed to be removed.

Laura Xavier has been supporting us since Day 1. In the picture below she is the first one in the right. 

Also in the same picture you can see Isabel Vitória, Pedro Queirós and Margarida Lima (from left to right). These 3 girls, Isabel Margarida and Laura, are helping us since Day 1. We are really thankful to them. They are our angels.

Last year, Laura contacted us and said she wanted to get involved. So, she put her hands on and decided to bake some cakes in the place where she works, an Health Center in Beja, Portugal!

Oral hygiene is fundamental for a sustained development of the human being. Can you imagine yourself with permanent teeth pain, cavities and other problems inside your mouth? Could you go to work or school having these problems? Could you smile?

Since we, Pedro and Ghazal, are helping Nepal, we have been many times to the dentist with kids. We know more dentists in Kathmandu than in all the other cities in the world together!! 

And every time the results are always the same: the oral hygiene practices in Nepal are very poor. Children and the population in general don't brush their teeth as often as they should and they don't visit the dentist.  

This is why Dreams of Kathmandu wants to get even more involved in this area. Last year we financed dentist to several kids of Camp Hope (Dream #11) and now is the time for the kids of Thaiba. In the picture find the invoice of the treatment.

P.S. Next week we fly again to Nepal to visit our projects and see our friends. We are very happy and excited to go back :-)
