Dream #16

Dream #16
We met Sameer four years ago, right after the big earthquake that destroyed Nepal in April 2015. At that time he was 9 years old. Now he is 13.

Sameer lives in Bistagaon, south of Kathmandu, and his name is actually Prashant Bista. But we call him Sameer. All his friends call him Sameer.
Sameer comes from a very poor family. He is an only son and his parents make their living out of agriculture. He lives in a shelter.

From the first moment we met him, we could see that he was a special boy. He was different. He didn’t have as much as the other kids in the village, but he had a genuine smile that always captivated us. He had this shy and respectful attitude. Like he lived in another world. He never asked for anything, something rare in Nepal.

The way he hugged us was also special. Because he would not let go.

Since our last visit to Nepal in May 2018, we, Pedro and Ghazal, we, Dreams of Kathmandu, decided that we want to support this boy.

We want to give him an opportunity because we have a feeling that there is something reserved for him in the future. So, we decided to get involved in his education.
The study fee of Hill Top Secondary School in Chapagaon plus his study books, materials and uniform have a yearly cost of 246€.

And who is the angel that will support Dream #16 and help Sameer with his education?

Cristiana Rodrigues, (right side on the picture below), visited Nepal in May 2016.

When we met Cristiana, we knew that she was one of us, because her purpose in doing social work is to actually do social work. She is one of those spirits that likes to help and get involved without asking anything in return.
In Nepal she tried to understand the situations that surrounded her, she smiled and she looked to people with honesty in their eyes.
We know Nepal is in her heart.
Thank you so much Cristiana for donating this 246€. It might seem like a small amount, but it will make a big difference in Sameer life.
If you wanna get involved please contact us in pedro_queiros@hotmail.com or ghazalvaziri@gmail.com.
There are still a lot of Dreams to fulfil in Kathmandu and we need you to make them come true! Thank you!
