Ruska is a 14 year old girl that lives in the suburbs of Kathmandu, in a beautiful village called Bistagaon. We, Pedro and Ghazal, first met Ruska 3 years ago, when doing volunteer work in Nepal... and now she is like a sister to us!
Everytime we go to Nepal we visit her and we get so impressed with the beauty of her smile and the speed of her growth!! But more important for us is her commitment to change her future and have a better life.
Unfortunetelly Ruska family don't have a lot of means... and it's very dificult for them to afford education.
And this is why Dreams of Kathmandu is going to get involved and help Ruska to fulfil her dream of becomimg a NURSE. A lot of hard work is gonna be needed but we are sure she is gonna do it. WE BELIEVE IN HER!
To sponsor this dream we will use funds that came from the sales of the book "My Way to Kathmandu". In total we sold 500 books, and from each book we earn 5€ for Nepal, which means 2500€.
Ruska's education for this year will cost 335€, and this will be our contribution. Right now she has an average of 72% and she is on her way to 9th grade on the Emerald Secondary School of English, which is located close to her village.
If she continues to have good results, we will continue to help in the following years. Stay in touch!
